Exploring Collaboration with Universitas Malikussaleh Lhokseumawe, MAN Insan Cendekia Aceh Timur Strengthens Ties through Courtesy Visit

Muara Batu, September 9, 2025 – MAN Insan Cendekia (IC) Aceh Timur conducted an official visit to Universitas Malikussaleh (Unimal) Lhokseumawe. The delegation was led by the Principal of MAN IC Aceh Timur, Ustadz Zulkarnain, S.Pd.I., M.A., accompanied by vice principals: Ustadz Uun Dwi Almuddatstsir (Vice Principal for Academic Affairs), Ustadz Solihin Kamal (Vice Principal for Public Relations), and Ustadz Fahrul Annas (Vice Principal for Student Affairs).

The visit was warmly welcomed by Unimal Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ir. Azhari, Asean Eng., accompanied by the Head of Academic, Student Affairs, Planning, Information, and Cooperation Bureau, Dr. T. Nazaruddin, the Head of Academic and Student Administration Division, Sayed Murtadha, M.Pd., and Senior Lecturer of Anthropology, Dr. Ibrahim Chalid. The meeting took place in a cordial and familial atmosphere.

The main agenda of the visit was to strengthen ties through silaturahmi (courtesy visit) while presenting the profile of MAN IC Aceh Timur and outlining the objectives of the visit. In his presentation, the Principal explained that MAN IC Aceh Timur is one of 24 MAN Insan Cendekia schools across Indonesia, with a mission to nurture excellent, noble, globally-minded students who master science and technology and are highly competitive.

In addition, the discussion explored potential collaboration in education to be formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), including: The National Student Admission (SNPMB) through Independent/Non-Test Achievement Track, providing opportunities for MAN IC Aceh Timur graduates to pursue higher education at Universitas Malikussaleh and Collaboration in the field of psychology, involving the provision of psychological consultants from Universitas Malikussaleh to train teachers in psychopedagogical competence and to provide counseling and psychological support services for students.

This visit is expected to strengthen the synergy between MAN IC Aceh Timur and Universitas Malikussaleh, contributing significantly to improving the quality of education, enhancing character development, and fostering the potential of young generations in Aceh Timur in particular, and Aceh more broadly.
